Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was large and comfortable, but unfortunately, there were significant issues with hot water and some parts of the hotel felt quite shabby. The staff seemed overwhelmed, which affected service levels. However, the ongoing refurbishment signals improvements are on the way, so it's worth considering in the future.
Our stay at this hotel was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the newly renovated rooms were a highlight, with lots of charm and comfort. The staff were genuinely helpful, which made our experience a bit more enjoyable despite the challenges. However, we were initially placed in a much smaller room due to renovations, and the reception seemed a bit disorganized. The hotel also had some ongoing maintenance issues that could use attention, which detracted from the overall experience.
I had a decent one-night stay at the hotel, which is still undergoing refurbishment. The room I had was spacious and newly refurbished, but there were a few hiccups like a weak shower. The breakfast was a highlight, offering good options including gluten-free choices. However, I was disappointed to find a parking charge upon checkout and experienced slow service during dinner, which detracted from the overall experience.
I had a delightful experience with the hotel's ambiance, particularly the elegant setting and spacious room. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, as I encountered unfortunate delays and unsatisfactory food quality. Overall, the hotel is worth considering, but be cautious when choosing your meals.
I found the hotel to be a good value for money, especially with the £109 deal that included dinner and breakfast. While the room was decent, the lack of attention to some areas, like the gardens, and the chaotic service during dinner were notable downsides. The location is excellent, just minutes from the center, but parking fees are a bit steep. I'm willing to return in hopes that they can improve the service and maintain the facilities better.
